Birthday Number in numerology

Your Birthday Number is the simplest number in numerology: it comes only from the day of the month you were born. Where the Life Path describes a broad direction, the Birthday Number adds a specific trait or talent you tend to bring into your relationships.

How it is calculated

Take the day of the month and add its digits until you reach a single digit, keeping 11 and 22 as they are. Someone born on the 7th has a Birthday Number of 7. The 16th becomes 1 plus 6, which is 7. The 11th and 22nd stay as 11 and 22, and the 29th becomes 2 plus 9, which is 11.

How it differs from Life Path

The Life Path uses the full date: month, day and year. It is the headline theme. The Birthday Number is narrower and more personal, closer to a signature style than a life direction. Two people with the same Life Path can feel quite different in a relationship because of their Birthday Numbers.

How it is used in a relationship map

horo reads each partner's Birthday Number against the same relationship themes as their Sun sign and Life Path. It carries less weight than the Life Path, but it often adds nuance to communication and emotional rhythm, and it can confirm or complicate what the other layers suggest.
