Life Path
The Life Path is the broadest number, built from the full birth date. The month, day and year are each reduced separately, keeping 11, 22 and 33, then added together and reduced again. For December 29, 1987: 12 becomes 3, 29 becomes 11, 1987 becomes 25 and then 7. Adding 3, 11 and 7 gives 21, which reduces to a Life Path 3. It describes overall direction, values and the way someone tends to approach commitment.
Birthday Number
The Birthday Number comes from the day of the month alone, reduced to a single digit while keeping 11 and 22. It adds a more specific personal trait on top of the Life Path, a bit like a second color in a portrait.
Personal Year
The Personal Year combines the birth month and day with the current calendar year and reduces the result to a number from 1 to 9. In this app it changes every January 1. It describes timing: the season each person is in right now, from beginnings to completion.
Reading numbers together
In a relationship map, the numbers are compared across both people and read against the same themes as the Sun signs. Some pairings tend to feel easy, others stretch both people. Numerology is an interpretive tradition rather than a science, so treat it as a lens for reflection and conversation, not a prediction.
